Zero Suit Confusion

Samus without her armor refered to as Zero Suit Samus, but here’s the thing. It’s not that the blue outfit she is wearing is called a Zero Suit, it’s the fact that she is not wearing her armor. Get it? Zero = No suit.

Things get tricky since there are times we see Samus in outfits other than the blue tights or the armor. Like whenever she dies in Fusion, she has on tank tops and shorts. So that is also Zero Suit Samus. Or is it?

What is the definitive ruling? I’ll have to look into it.

I'd just assumed that it's because it's the suit she wears during certain parts of Zero Mission.

Latching onto the Smash Bros. Brawl costume thread, I'm pretty excited to see what Nintendo will do with the alternate costumes this time around. Will you be able to play as various generations of Link (OoT/WW/TP)? Will Snake have his MGS1 suit (or even a Raiden skin) as an alt? And the most important question: What will Kirby look like after he eats Snake?

That's easy, he'll be a pink "!" mark.

I assumed the same thing as metaly. It's the suit from Zero Mission.

Nintendo had big honkin' (1.5m by 2m) "sexy" poster of Metroid Zero Mission for Japan game shops, using the sexy idol talent Chisato Morishita (森下千里) in the "Zero Suit". Too bad I don't have a photo, but she's on all fours, yeeyow!

But wait, this is the 2006 Internet, and there's YouTube. I found the Japanese commericial. It's almost exactly like this. Can't say enough about the costume.

I totally remember when that run orignally ran. One of the most shamelessly suggestive commercials ever. In other words, a true classic!
